Audiation

I've been wanting to get into computer music for a long time but if you've ever tried you've found that there's SO MANY OPTIONS (or else you're a proprie-douche content to pay (or pirate) for the privilege of learning someone else's tool). I've finally settled down more or less to on Mixxx, and LMMS, though ChucK and SC are intriguing.

I'm still learning but here's some songs I've made that I feel are almost-polished enough to share. Please, send me feedback (good and especially bad)! These are licensed under a CC-BY-NC which means you are free to do whatever the fuck you want with these sounds so long as you credit me and you don't profit (financially; culturally or otherwise is encouraged) off them. However, I hearby waive the attribution clause because music exists in a realm beyond our petty human desires.

Note: They're (mostly) in ogg so if you're on Windows you might need to install "Ogg Codecs for Windows" from here. Sorry, no mp3s, I'm lazy and sometimes still evangelical about open-source.

• Matilda Time (3:59, 3.7mb) -- I made this years ago with a random text-to-speech app and CoolEdit Pro (which doesn't exist under that name anymore). It's rough, but I've decided to leave it as is to preserve some ideal like historical purity or something
• phhonEP (0:57, 0.9mb) -- another old experiment with a waveform editor. The funny thing I notice about it is that even though it sucks, it overall flows better than anything I've yet done with LMMS
• exp (6:08, 7mb) -- bouncily ominous
• OCD1 (1:08, 1.1mb) -- this is what my head feels like
• soundofmusic1 (3:50, 4.5mb) -- the hilllls are alive with the soooound of oontz oontz oontz oontz
• sleuth (1:45, ??mb)
